its not home made but hairspray works wonders spray it on the wall and wipe it does not take the paint off either

depends which makeup it is - eyeshadow powder and blusher will usually wipe off with babywipe, or if it's a wax based makeup like lipstick you need a piece of kitchen roll folded over the mark and apply an iron set on cotton . Good luck

try a mild solution of hot soapy water and see if that works but more info as to the type of wall would help
