well, she turned me down bcoz there was no connection. i even wrote her a letter how awkward it is to be just friends..she just laughed and said it was funny, but she said in reply in the letter "be well'..she hugged me twice after we havent seen each other for a while. and i saw her getting along with this guy who likes her. school starts again. for you, would cutting ties be better than try to be friends with this girl? what worked best?

Mmmm you don't have to cut ties necessarily, just keep her as an aquaintance in your life. That way , no harm, no faul and you won't get your hopes up etc. If you have seriously strong feelings and no connection, it's best to cut ties. Who wants to live like that; you know? Been there done that, it drove me crazy =) so I ended the ties. You get over things, little bit at a time if you have to do so.

Cutting ties. It's definitely harder to be just friends especially if you still have feelings for her. Cut her off and give yourself time to get over the breakup. Then, you can try to be her friend. Otherwise, seeing her with other guys is only going to make you mad. Then, she won't want to be your friend at all, and you'll have serious delay in getting over her.

i would try to be friends with her.. but i would stop tryign to get her to go out with you, and i would also stop over-analyzing the situation. just because she hugs you doesnt turn into a whole OMG i love you still thing... i hug all my guy friends EVERY day... and why wouldnt sh eget along with any guy, whether or not they like her? try not to be jealuos and focus on being a great friend to her, and if that means encouraging her to go out with that guy, do it, even if it hurts... youll move on...

i wouldnt ruin a perfectly great friendship because i couldnt be more than friends... id atleast want to be apart of their life.

It depends on how close you guys were before you asked her out! Something about life that your going to have to get used to, is that after dating someone -- its always going to be awkward and most times, after you try being friends. Don't leave with harsh words (to regret) but im guessing you guys will slowly drift.
