We don’t taste food without salt

Two reasons: Reason #1 like you mentioned, is the need for seasoning. A LITTLE salt is desirable on some foods that need more flavor, such as hash browns or salad. Reason # 2 is that sodium is a necessary ingredient for our bodies to function properly.

We don't need to add salt to our food. It is personal taste. if a peson is used to salting eveything, we don't taste food without salt. If a person gets away from salting everything and learns to taste the food as it really is. try seasoning foods with other spices. as a whole, we eat way to much salt that can add to health issues as we age.

Did you just answer your own question? I was gonna say that it would be boring to eat food without flavor. In the times before refrigerators, people salted their meat to keep it preserved. Now we use it so our food isn't so bland. Isn't that kind of obvious?

mmmmmmm salt


chips dont taste as good without salt
same with eggs, tomato, bacon, meat in general
