My teenagers graduated high school and cannot find entry level jobs anywhere. Who started the lie that illegals do the jobs that legals won't and WHERE is the evidence?

It is a lie.

The reason *it seems* like illegals do the jobs legals will not do is because an illegal alien will do job X for less dollars than the average legal person. Often the money that an illegal alien earns is sent to Mexico (where over half of illegal aliens come from) and even $6 an hour in the U.S. can be converted to ALOT of Pesos in Mexico. Because illegals will usually take a job at lower wages, this encourages unscrupulous business owners from hiring illegal aliens (against the law of course). Thus jobs are taken from legals because the average citizen cannot afford to work a job at a lower wage.

the government ......so we the taxpayers would be OK with them letting these illegals work in the US. I agree with you. Who did the jobs before the illegals started taking over those jobs? AMERICANS DID THE JOBS.. Its just sad to see companies that would rather hire an illegal or immigrant over an American. They only hire these people to make their own companies more profit.Take SWIFT CO. after ICE arrested all those illegals they went and hired Somalians and legal Mexicans. WHY because they can pay those people less than what they'd pay us to do the same job.Believe me there was plenty of whites, blacks etc standing in those lines trying to get those jobs. I personally would pay more for meat that was processed by an American, than I would but meat processed by a dirty illegal with who knows what kind of diseases. probably why all those salmonella poisonings were in California. some sick illegal probably sneezing all over the lettuce or not using proper hygiene after using the restroom.

Swift raids exposed this one as a lie.

Several union officials said Swift, which has denied knowingly hiring illegal workers and has not been charged, improved its wages, benefits and bonuses before the raids.

"They're trying to staff up their plants and they've been raising their wages the past few weeks," said United Food and Commercial Workers spokeswoman Jill Cashen. "To me, it's an example that when you make the job more attractive you get a different kind of applicant."

"In Greeley, where Swift is headquartered, union local president Ernie Duran said about 75 new workers have been hired - including about 30 Caucasians, 15 Somali immigrants and seven Hispanic immigrants, with the rest U.S.-born Hispanics. But the raid has not dissuaded Hispanic immigrants from seeking work at the plant, he said."

Local 22 union president Dan Hoppes said Tuesday that 40 to 50 new workers have been hired at the Grand Island plant since the raids.

"The lion's share of those people were Caucasian," Hoppes said.

Probably started by a guy in the middle of a vast field of crops bent over for 10 hours picking vegetables for minimum wage or less. Illegal immigrants don't go for "entry level" positions, because entry level means there is room for growth and progress. Believe me, the jobs that illegal immigrants work on, your teenagers wouldn't even consider working unless they want a back breaking, mind numbing, go nowhere job for little money.
You want evidence? Ask yourself why you only pay $3 a pound for grapes - RETAIL.

It was a toss-up between them and Bush. They at first made it look like the only jobs they ever did was the agriculture field work which is usually temporary. It is a job many have done for years. They did come illegally and help pick oranges etc. But once the harvest was over....most went back to Mexico. It wasn't an issue until the whole family came along and they never left. When it left that and started crossing into other areas.....is when it started to become a lie.

The only way as citizens we have to fight un-fair labor is not to work for someone. Everyone knows it's extreemly costly to fight for your rights. It seems big business has a way around every law and everything else that after awhile....about the only way you have the ability to fight back is for that business to get a reputation as a place not to work. After awhile they either had to change their practices or go under. Now with an unlimited amount of people that will do it for peanuts and not complain has changed the groundwork for everyone on the lower pay scale. I can't tell you how many lunch hours I've worked for free. How many rights I've had violated but I needed the job and couldn't afford to loose it. I've taken pay cuts for the sake of the business. I've been ripped off for overtime. I've been expected to lie and cover for a business. After awhile you get tired of it and stand up. The next thing you know you're steller work history has turned to being a problem child and your fired for not wearing the right shoes and you have no means to prove the unjustice and it gets tougher and tougher to get a job. Been there and done that and this influx of illegals has just made the job that much easier for the employers. And now they act like they are the FIRST to experience it. They are just exploiting "them". Sorry....none of this NEW. It's happened to ALL of us at one time or another. We have just refused to work for those companies. But they changed it to "we're to lazy" when that isn't the reason and never was.

They have "laws" that are supposed to protect the elderly, and all the rest. It only protects you if you have the money to back it. There are special interest groups to help certain people but not all.

I can say there is a problem hiring young people. They do have a tendency to think that this one dance is the dance that is a life and death situation. They don't show up for work. They are making out in the cooler. They are spending alot of time goofing off. But we just had congress take off for a football game. What does that say? It is a problem hiring moms. Kids are sick alot. There's always some school program to go to....a game...an awards ceremony. Elderly get sick. Spouses get sick. Family members die......there isn't a "perfect" group to hire. But business doesn't care about any specific group of people. Once you think YOU are necessary....you are replaced. I can't tell you how many rich guys would change their life, how many people missed the things that mattered the most to them.....because of a job. We....I guess we met our "saturation" point for that. Now they are bringing in a new group. It is sick and sad. Unfortunatly.....things aren't moving forward. They are just repeating it again. In 10 years.....these guys aren't going to risk their life for minimum wage. When their kids are in trouble and a new study comes out and says it's their fault and they have to change...when mom is now the elderly....they too are going to be fighting the same things we have. Problem now....is it's better for them....for this moment...to think it's race or whatever that makes them "special" or different. It's temporary. Temporary in the grand scheme of things.....but a lifetime for many.

I don't believe your high school teenager want to work on farm picking whatever they are planting. Illegals are chosen for jobs because they can be underpaid without complaint. Slavery has been outlawed for many years but people have found a way to get around that law by underpaying illegals for a full days work. Get your teenager into college or I know for sure the military is hiring.

Maybe the illegals themselves?
No job will ever go begging if it pays well enough. Illegals only depress the value of such jobs to the point that most ppl feel it's not worth the effort. This would change if they would stop cheating everyone, including the LEGAL immigrants who are still waiting their turn.

the media and the pro illegal organizations and politicians that want to cater to the hispanic voting block..(and the countless illegals that vote with their drivers license or utility stub)
TO a politician:
Your kid is not important as they provide no heavy political donations, isnt bi-lingual, and smart enough to know what min wage, wants a pay stub/record (cant be paid off the books)
The only value your kid has is as a statistic and maybe a vote..
A sad fact and unless rectified with demands that our elective representatinves in congress stop placing their need to retain their powerful perkfilled positions over their oath to protect and serve ,this nation is in danger of degenerating into a third world graft ridden country where power,$ and "position" rule..

Ive heard people say that for many years... way before Bush was president.

Its the jobs like landscaping, bricklaying, drywalling, light construction etc.. that are taken that do pay a decent wage normally that prove this saying wrong.

if they can't find a job then they have issues. I have very rarely seen teenagers turned down for resturant or fast food and that is the kind of jobs illegals do. Or they work in the mall and hospitals as janitors. Oh yeah they are nannies too..
