Wrap them at the destination. Security can unwrap them to inspect the contents. This applies to checked baggage as well as carry on.

Yes, as long as they don't contain items you can't take. I had a pocketman and CD for my boss that did not make it through security (the knife blade on the pocketman) but if I had not had this item it would have been no problem. X-rays can see through the wrapping.

Nope. Take the paper, take the gift, but piss em off and wrap it after you get on the plane!

Yes. I have done it several times. Sometimes they open it, sometimes they don't. The times when they opened it, the guy did it carefully, didn't tear the paper, and then wrapped it back up nicely for me.

Yes it will go through the X-ray as carry on, but if they think they see anything suspicious they will open it.

No, security will unwrap them if you do. Wrap them after you arrive at your destination.

No, it is illegal. They would have to unwrap it, and then open the present to check it. You would have to rewrap when you got there.
