some viruses are here-today, gone-tomorrow things. others, like the herpes family, hide out in your body and appear in times of stress.

Different viruses are different.

Some don't affect the human body at all.
Others are forever.
And yet others have some answer in between zero and infinity.

Depends on what kind. The transient suckers that give you flu-like symptoms can last from 3 days to 2 weeks.

However, some viruses are forever, like warts, Herpes, Shingles, etc.

The latest study I read re:viruses is that they actually change your DNA...

depends on the virus i would say normally 2-7 days

as i know it a virus never really goes away most of the time you have to take an antibiotic to keep is from affecting you
