That's a big question that requires a long answer. Basically Job was a righteous and blameless man (Ch1). Satan tore his family apart, destroyed his belongings, his animals, and everything he owned. He had three so-called "friends" who tried to give him advice. Job withstood this torment for years and in the end was restored to God and was blessed with twice as much as he had to begin with(Ch 40-42).

Job maintained his integrity to Jehovah despite everything Satan threw at him, despite the fact he did not understand why it was happening.

For a very brief overview which would omit many important details just read the first two chapters and the last chapter of Job.

God and Lucifer are sitting down having tea one day. Lucifer tells God of his latest batch of humans he is about to test the faith of. God cuts him off and tells Lucifer of his favorite worshiper, Job.

Lucifer smiles and says anyone can be broken if enough pressure is applied, with the implication that others are not "tested' to this degree. God says "Bring it on, Job will make it"

Lucifer does some pretty terrible things to Job while God watches on and God smiles at how strong Jobs faith is. In the end after Job has lost literally everything, Lucifer backs off and proclaims Job to be resolute in this faith. God says "I told you so" and restores Job back to his original state.
