What are some ways I can lessen the appearance of them?

Vitamin E oils, Put lots of Vitamin E on your stretch marks a few times a day and eventually the Stretch mark will fade. Do Not think its going to happen over night though because it wont :)
What the Vitamin E helps to speed up the Fading process. Another way is time itself, but use the E

Any pharmacist will tell you the same thing.

I've seen commercials for gels and creams that lessen the appearance of stretch marks. I'd search it on google and then go to a pharmacy and see what they suggest!

unfortunately, stretch marks are hard t make disappear.... if not impossible... there are always those expensive esthetic treatments, but for those of us who don't have that kind of money, the best bet is store-bought creams, either to reduce already existing stretchmarks, or to prevent ones as caused by pregnancy... almond oil can prevent stretch marks when used several times daily during pregnancy...
when the damage is already done, you begin to see these purplish-red lines on thighs, belly, etc... with time they become less apparent, mine are now white and i hardly see them...
u can also use self-tanning products, which helps slightly...

I tried an Avon cream that really helped diminish the appearance of stretch marks, I also recommended it to my friend and it worked for her as well! However use it everyday and as instructed Good Luck oh and its not pricey and they have a special going on. buy one get one for $1.99

Use cocoa butter cream on your strech marks. It will less visible and will go away in a couple of days a week maximum. it wirked for me.

theres this really good lotion called Bio-Oil. its good for dehydrated skin and scars. u can buy it in the pharmacys but bio oil is really good.

Cocoa Butter
Shea Butter
Vitamin E Oil

i have yet to try any of them, but i've heard they REALLY work.
