Walking will drop the weight, just at a slower rate.
You want to get your heart pumping ( cardio workouts ) and remain steady for 10-15 minutes at first, and gradually increase your time as your conditioning gets better.
I would recomend a stationary or regular bike to start off- go to a garage sale and get one for 10 dollars- they are all over the place!
Everyone laughs, but the Richard Simmons tapes from the 80's are right on track. Try dancing , or, heavy cleaning around the house anything that gets your heart pumping and sweating is good !
Good Luck !

It sure does, but only if you walk a lot. About 7 years ago, I dropped 20 pounds in about 8 months with no change it diet. I walked about 15-20 miles each and every week.
Don't worry about walking fast. You burn the same amount of calories per mile whether you did it in 25 minutes or 15 minutes

Walking fast helps drop the weight faster, but yes it helps drop the weight. It will of course take longer though.

If you eat 200 calories extra and burn 200 calories, you're not going to drop the weight. If you eat 100 extra and burn 200, then yes, you will drop weight, slowly but surely.

Yes!!! Walking is the best thing that you can do for yourself. It works out all of your body's systems and all of your muscles. Aerobic activity helps burn fat--more than 20 minutes of being at your target heart rate. It will help a lot with your endurance as well--being able to do something for a longer period of time. Not to mention that walking outdoors is great for your mood.

not really but it doesn't bother - as any exercise. you can drop weight only if you also eat properly . and drink water in;stead of pops.
