Where I may find Windows OS Vista for a low price? Amazon just advertized it for $159.00, but I don't want to break the bank. Thanks in advance.

There was a deal with Microsoft that if you watched so many podcasts of Windows Vista (around 250) you could get a free copy of Windows Vista, but now all the copies are gone. You just missed it. Isn't that terrible.
I, however, was lucky enough to score a copy of Vista and Office 2007 free.

The Retail price is controlled by Microsoft - all Retailers have to sell it for the same price. So if you find a "low priced" one (for example, on eBay), it is likely a counterfeit or a scam.
The lowest priced option is the Vista Home Basic Upgrade for US$99.95.
Also, be aware that Microsoft is using a new registration scheme to check for counterfeits and resold copies, so if you buy one from someone who has already installed it, you may not be able to use it for more than 30 days, when the trial will expire (if it even let's you activate it in the first place).

That is probably the best price you will get unless you buy a new PC with Vista already installed and sell your old one. You might want to do that anyway if your computer is more than a couple years old. Vista requires a very fast computer to run fully and OS upgrades tend to be headaches.

That is low. It is probably the home edition of Vista. Any lower and its probably not legit.

you could try downloading the beta version from microsoft...you could also use a bit torrent downloader and search for "Vista" on thepiratebay.org
