Ok, when I get married in August, it will cost me almost $400 a month for the both of us to be covered. Right now, just for me, it costs less than $100. This is for dental, vision and health insurance. It is worth it or should we look into other options? He has no options for insurance at his job and this is the cheaper plan at my job. Im in great health, and right now he is but hes a smoker and unhealthy eater(not overweight at all, however).

For a couple to have dental, vision, and medical insurance for $400 a month - that's pretty darn cheap! I pay over $300 a month for just ME for medical and dental. Honestly, no one should be without health insurance in this day and age. Studies show that the majority of bankruptices are caused by medical bills. You can explore other options, but I don't think you're going to find anything cheaper.

My Husband and I currently have no Health Insurance. These days to get a decent family plan, with standard coverage, its anwhere from $500-$800. At least those are the plans that I saw. Definitely put him on your insurance. If the money too much of a concern, maybe you could look into getting him something like a major medical plan, which would only cover something like a car accident... Or you could look into a Health Saving Account. I think adding him to your insurance for $400 is the way to go, assuming this is a good plan you have got....

Add him. If he has no insurance this is the best option. It would only take one major illness/issue to financially crush a new couple. Usually you have a limited amount of time to add them. You could find an independent health insurance for him, but make sure the benefits are "comparatable" to yours.

I wouldn't hesitate to add your husband onto your insurance if that is the cheapest way to go with the best coverage. God forbid if something did happen to your husband, you wouldn't want him to have really bad health insurance coverage. This could limit his treatment options. This can motivate the both of you to get in (or stay in) great physical condition. It can greatly reduce your risks of developing certain diseases and keep your sex drive through the roof!!

Look into other options. This may be the best deal around, for all you know. But get him on a plan as soon as possible. The older he gets, the harder he will be to insure, and the more it will cost.

You are better off putting him on your health insurance. Something could happen (kidney stones as an example) and would land him in the ER and be $5,000+.
Better safe than sorry.
If you don't add him to the insurance, safe the money that you would spend if something were to happen just in case. If you dont' use it, go on vacation!

Well do you want to be protected or not? That's really the question. Also, can you afford the $400 a month? If not...he can find another way to go about it.

Well.....if he was to get sick or get into an accident, would you have the money to pay all of his medical bills if he had no insurance?

Well, you can look into other options, sure...He should definitely be covered though.
