I think pork chop bones are too thin to give to a dog. They can shatter and send hundreds of little shards into their mouths, throat and so on. I only ever give my dogs beef thigh bones, even than I take them away once I see them starting to wear down.

The only type of bones that are ok to feed a dog are raw bones. Cooked bones are brittle and will splinter.

Not if he's Jewish or Islamic! Seriously though, don't feed any small dog bones to your dog. Large beef bones like a soup bone that you can get from your local butcher.

You should never feed a dog from the table. The dog will get fat and it's really unhealthy for them. Animals do not process fats the way that we do. You should NEVER feed a dog bones at all.

I used to, but was informed that pork bones - especially ribs - can splinter causing serious problems... I guess my dog was fortunate!

Never feed your dog any bones that can splinter. They can cause obstruction or laceration of stomach or intestines.

I wouldn't unless your dog is what they call a soft chewer..ie. doesn't break things when he chews on them... and always supervise the dog while they are eating a bone, just in case it breaks. Raw bones will break if the dog is a hard chewer.
