*Wait*

Sitting on the porch
Looking up at a palm tree swaying in the wind
Feeling the soft, gentle wind blowing on me
Hearing the sound of traffic
People working
Sweet songs the birds sing

The clouds are grey
the sky is white
the sun is ready
to shine on another country;
sitting here pondering
wishing I was back in IC

All my wonderful memories I had to leave behind
I ask God why should this be
why did I have to leave IC
it was so wonderful there
this is not fair

God shines his light
and whispers in the wind to me:
"I have need of you here.
You might not see it yet,
but I do.
I will give you wonderful memories here:
the blessings of friends.
You might not see it yet,
but you will.

Have patience my child, it will come.
Do not be afraid,
I am here.
Don't feel lonely
I's here.
I always will be."

The wind has stopped
my heart is in peace
I just have to wait and see.

You wrote about your feelings. And changed the place of some words you should have used if you had wrote in prose. But I'm sorry, what you wrote is not a poem. It's not poetry at all.
I'm sure my answer wont be selected as the best one, but I wrote it on behalf of Art & artists. Any way, you show you have conditions. Learn. You'll make it.

Yes I sometimes wonder why life changes and why we go through certain things.I feel God is telling me to wait sometimes. What is IC? That part of your poem is not clear to me. But it's very sweet.

You actually wanted to stay in Intensive Care?? And, while the poem is heartfelt, Id have to say that I do not ever feel that way. In fact, if God was speaking to me, Id rush to my local psychologist and get an Rx for Paxil QUICKLY.

It's okay. No I never fell that way, because I don't even believe in a "god".
