NO, THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE SENT 1. They should focus on their own country and leave all the world alone. They are not the ones that have to look after peace in the world Take for example other developed countries: Canada, Spain, France, Japan; they have less problems. And do you know why? Because they look after their own countries and don´t make up wars. 9/11 and many other hardships could have been avoided if a peaceful politic would have been aplied.

As far as more or less troops, the US has had as low as 110,000 and as high as 160,000 and we are at about ,135,000 currently. So if we increased it by 20,000 we would still be less than the previous high. The politicians count on the short memory to get their agenda pushed through.
Why would what America does reflect on Canada? Does Mexico's politics reflect on how things are done in the US? Is Canada next for what? Please elaborate more on this.

2,000 at least! 20,000 prefferably, like they are planning on! And how does Canada come into this? I whole heartedly support Bush and (most) of his decisions. I think he's done wonders for our country and others. I think that since we are the richest and most powerful country in the world, we are sort of obligated to help out where we can, and I'm glad we are helping those who can't help themselves.

I wonder how many thumbs down from democrats I'll get from that! ;-)

it's amazing how many people in the world have opinions about things that are going on in other parts of the world that they have no control over, yet, when it comes time to vote, they either have to work or have other commitments that prevent them from being "heard" by the politicians putting the vote out there for them. i saw a bumper sticker once that really made sense to me. it said, "if you didn't vote, then don't complain to me." if you're canadian, quit worrying about what americans are doing. if you're american, stand up for yourself and stand behind your vote. if you don't like the current administration, do something about it other than posting inane comments on useless websites and trying to stir up arguments. enough.

We really do not need more troops in Iraq. What we need is to untie the hands of our military to do the job they are trained to do. This won't happen until the left gets over their "feelings" and understands what combat is.

Instead wasting lots of millions of dollars and the lives of the fool soldiers who obbey Bush, the american government should help to fighting the poverty, the enviromental problems, or any other real trouble.
