I Lived in Wisconsin from January until May and now in Texas. In Wisconsin we have state taxes to file for and in Texas we do not.

You file your taxes for the feds as normal. You then file as a part-year resident of Wisconsin.

Have fun. Wisconsin has a form with about a million questions as to why you left........

Welcome to Texas. Land of High Property and Sales Taxes.

For Wisconsin, you pay tax only on the portion of the income you earned there. You don't pay state tax on money earned in Tejas.
