I know to go to a podiatrist when I have an ingrown toe nail but when I have an ingrown fingernail, who do I go to see? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I tried digging it out already and I think its getting infected, I have been putting antibiotic cream and band aid on it but its not getting better, should I just go to a general practitioner???

Save your self some $ & dig it out Ur self. It happens 2 me with my big toe about every 3-4 months. I just grin & bear it. Dig it out on the side & clip it off. I know it hurts but as soon as it is cut great relief starts immediately. Get your hand wet 1st this softens up the skin & makes it easier to get to. You could go get a manicure and they could do it. Either way it won't cost as much as a doctor. Hope this helped & good luck.
