If "God" literally "created" us all as equals, than why are we so obviously NOT? Why would he expressly create so many masses of people who are exept from salvation and redemption,

because, isn't that the whole point of having us here in his grand 'soul test' here on earth?

How do you reason this out?

Equal is not the same as identical. And God isn't like Santa's elves used to be, making each toy (or in this case, person) by hand. God created nature and the universe in all its glorious complexity, which includes genetics.

Speaking from a Roman Catholic viewpoint, I wouldn't say that those who are mentally challenged are above the need for salvation. That isn't true at all - the RCC encourages the participation of those who are considered "retarded" and whatnot in the faith and prayer life of the community, including the sacraments. What the RCC does recognize is that some of these people cannot comprehend cause and effect, right and wrong, consequences of actions, etc. and that they're needs are going to be different from the average person's.

A. Who said we were all created equal? It is not Scripture. B. Much of our various shortcomings are the result of sin, which the Almighty wanted to protect us from, but our first parents insisted on undergoing that situation. C I am not at all certain How the Almighty will finally judge those who are severely compromised. D. It is my understanding that an intelligent understanding and acceptance of the gift of salvation is needed. therefore E. It would seem that those who are unable to grasp those concepts would be exempt from the judgment. (It is appointed to every man once to die, and after that the judgment) Therefore they would be resurrected in neither resurrection, and their earthly death would be the end of them. (I might be wrong, of course. Scripture is not real clear.) I am sure that whatever the Almighty chooses to do it will be the right thing, and everyone will be satisfied with it.

It says in the Bible that special needs people were created so that Gods power might be shown probably a little hard for you to believe but it's there. However, i don't ever remember reading in the bible that we are all created equal i think that's just in the american constitution. It only says that we are all equal in Christ. Therefore, all Christians are equal.

In my opinion- we are all equal. I believe that all people are here serving a purpose. And its not our job to judge or feel pitty for the challenged. They have work to do here on earth as we "normal" people do.

In the large scheme of things- think of Mother Theresa. She fed the masses of hungry, she helped where she could. If we were all living perfect lives here on earth would Mother Theresa get to come to earth to show compassion and understanding on a grand scale? All situations no matter how complex or disheartening have baring.

In my opinion.

God loves us all, but we are not equal, this is man made quotes, however God thinks of his children as a blessing no matter the physical deformity, However the human body & the physical genes are the ones in control on our physical parts if we come out deformed or physically challanged. I met some people who mind wise is not really al lthere ,but they know enough about God & you see their spirit through their eyes, God still keeps an eye on them.

All men are created equal? Thats a political aspiration written by Thomas Jefferson. You wont find that quote in the bible. Read a book or two before you start to try and debate points that are over you're head

I wasn't aware that the Bible stated that God created everyone equal. If that is the case, why the passages on women, and slavery, and what will happen to non-believers?

Perhaps you are confusing the Declaration of Independence with scripture.

Not that it matters to me, I don't believe in God anyway.

well my answer to that would be that in biblical times, I don't think people were born retarded or severely handicapped. I think that as we have evolved as a species and we take into account our enviornment (smog, pollution, incest, etc.) that we have made retardation. Therefore, since someone who doesn't have the capacity past a child, how can God make them spend eternity in hell?
We have created these things and God is just showing us his forgiveness and love in accepting them.

Maybe he created those that are exempt in order for those who are not to more appreciate the value of life and be grateful for what we have been given rahter than spend our time wallowing on material things we WANT.

being created equal does not mean that we are all exactly the same. everyone has their strengths and weaknesses you may be better at one thing and i may be better at another. someone may be more popular than another person but the other person may have a better heart. things have a way of evening themselves out that's what it means when it says we are created equal. you are just interpreting it wrong.
