'Best' is always subjective. Better to ask for 'great'. I've eaten at all of these & can recommend highly. I'm sure there are many more.

Dooky Chase in Mid-City, New Orleans. Been around for a long time.
There were several places opened right after Katrina, but I guess not everyone knew about them. Metairie (suburb of N.O.) also had several places opened.
