if you have found your own birthparent then it would just be the lawyer fees. as long as the birthmother did not need any expenses. be careful of this type of situation, it's sad but some women will lie to get you to pay for their expenses, knowing they want to parent the child. and you cannot be reimbursed for those expenses paid. it's the birthmother's right to decide to parent, but some know this before seeking desperate couples or individuals that want to adopt, so just be careful. the adoption that we did the lawyers fees were around 6000 with a homestudy and the birthmother expenses were around 3000. but we did go through an agency and their fees were at 9500. it was well worth it for the extra security. best to you.

it all depends on the state situation that the child is in and the age of the child i am from a family of 5 kids and 3 were adopted i wish you the best of luck and if you have any ? just let me know

Basically just the lawyer costs for the paper work for it to be binding legally. Good Luck.
