Me and my friends love to draw and one day we were drawing on our arms and the next day we washed it off and noticed that it cut us. We thought it looked cool because the things we drew were cut out into us. Ok I know thats wierd. But we tryed it agian with a needle with no inteshon of relesing pain or sadness from ourselfs. We just think its a tabboo way of drawing. But I'm worryed that it will turen in to a habbit. My friend is still doing it I stop because I was afraid of it taking over me. Can this lead into cutting?????

I'm sure that it probably CAN lead into cutting, especially if your friend is having a difficult time stopping this habit. It's also probably not a healthy thing to do--ink can't be a healthy thing if it enters your bloodstream. Why not turn your fascination with ink settling into something by taking a printmaking class instead. (Same sort of concept, just on paper, not skin). :)

It really depends on the person and what they are thinking when doing it. What is his intention when he does it. It sounds like he's doing it to express his creative side. I know people that used to tattoo themselves all that time. Maybe not all the time, but they've done it before. And no one thought they were crazy. In fact some people who get tattoos even at the parlors say that it's an addiction. It gives you an adrenaline rush sort of. But the problem is that what you were doing, whether or not it leads to Self Mutilation addiction, could cause severe medical problems. Especially using ink and pens and such. You could get an infection. You could even get gangrene and have to have limbs amputated. Doesn't sound like fun, does it. So if you want to get a tattoo, go to a certified parlor where they know what they are doing. But if you feel like you are your friend may be heading down the addictive road of self-injury, then please find a counselor to talk to about it with. They'll be able to provide you with the help you need.

This is not really what people CUT for. Most people cut to relieve pain, without knowing the reason..

Sounds like you were being more artistic. I would be concerned that you might get "addicted to the coolness." of the drawring or maybe even the feel of the drawing on your skin..

Go back to drawing on paper.

Ur r so youthful and naive. U r interior the technique of falling for an same catch many previously you've fallen for. U will basically remorseful about this, because like all and sundry who has fallen for this, they continuously finally end up regretting it and declaring if basically i might want to bypass decrease back to after I 1st all started this behaviour. the problem is you're already all in favour of way of this,so i imagine u would finally end up spiralling down into self damage. yet I promise u one problem, u will continuously seem decrease back and remorseful about ur determination. the point is u opt to ask urself what do u opt for between urself and ur existence? If the reply is self damaging, self damage, drugs, alcohol etc (all an same animal) then it truly is what is going to happen to u. Ur movements create ur truth. The older u get the more desirable u will comprehend this, yet because u r youthful u r not unsleeping of this. that's from own adventure.

Yes it can. It obviously did release pain and sadness for you and your friend and this is why you find it hard to stop. if it becomes a big issue you should get counselling. If you don't stop remember that scars wont go away and your just kidding yourself if you think they look cool now. Can you imagine getting married and wanting to look your best but having horrendous scars that you just can't get rid of? Stop now hun before it takes over.
