Is she drinking right before going to bed? Make sure she goes to the bathroom before she goes to bed. Take her to the doctor could be something wrong with her she needs to be checked out.

This is a LOT more common problem among 10 year olds than you might think -- about 1 in 20 at that age are still affected, according to some estimates. It's almost certainly not a kidney problem; the problem is usually simply that the bladder, and/or the muscles and nerves that control it, have developed at a slower than normal rate and are not able to keep up with the metabolic demands of her growing body for an entire night. The biggest concern with this is usually the emotional trauma it places on the child, as I guarantee you (as one who grew up with this problem myself) that she feels horrible about wetting the bed and would do almost anything to make it stop if she could. Many kids' bodies outgrow the problem at around the age of puberty, though for some it is a little later, but almost all DO outgrow it eventually.

It wouldn't be a bad idea for her to see a doctor about this if she hasn't in awhile, although if she's been examined recently and found to be in otherwise good health (no infections, diabetes, etc.) there's probably no need to embarrass her any further. There are a couple of medications that she could be prescribed that can reduce her need to urinate during the night so that she can have an easier time staying dry -- these don't get rid of the problem for the long term, but they can at least make it easier for her to have sleepovers or go on trips and that sort of thing.

Hope this helps... the main thing is, just give her your love and support and let her know this isn't her fault, and she's not alone! I hope she'll be able to stop soon!
