If a girl(close friend) had feelings for you or really fancied you(she denied it-never told you)-----
Would it only became obvious after you told them you need to get over your feelings for them and you needed some time apart---not for good,only a short period.(due to you thinking she didnt see you in that way+you wanted to be an honest friend)
You were still in contact(after you told her u had feelings) UNTIL YOU ASKED FOR TIME APART
YOU WERE ONLY FRIENDS---THATS WHAT SHE SAID---NEVER A COUPLE
If the girl didn't have feelings for you/fancy you,surely she would have responded to your attempts to get in touch?Yes or No?

I don't think she would respond to your calls if she wasn't interested.
I think she would respond if she wants to keep in touch.
If you are in touch again the matter should be clarified if it is still not clear - what about some straight talking?
Quick answer No she will not respond to your attempts to get in touch if she is not interested and would not get in touch if she has no feelings for you.
She may not want to re-establish contact because she does not feel the same way you do and therefore maybe does not want to give you any false hopes.
On the other hand if she agrees to see you again it may be that she just doesn't know how to say no!

It all depends on the girl and on how old you both are and on how close your friendship was. If you told her you had feelings for her but she said she didn't say she had feelings for you then she probably doesn't. If you told her you need space to get over your feelings for her, she is probably wanting to give you that space. It's best to just ask her outright how she feels, but believe her if she says she doesn't have feelings for you, no matter how much you want to believe otherwise.

you sound a bit confused...umm...some people when they hear somebody likes them but they dont like them back tend to "disappear" out of that persons life or ignore them or just lay back for a while...
