If he sits close to you and talks to others, then listen to what does he talk about, try to get to know about something he's intersted in, and maybe one time in the middle of a conversation between him and someone (when they're speaking loudly, not private conversation), step in to say something about that topic, and talk only while looking at him, don't look much at the others during the conversation. Ask him directly also, this makes him feel that he seems interesting to you (maybe about his knowledge or talking style).
Try as much as you can not to be shy, and have self confidence.
Being pretty might help you at the first sight, but later all what matters is how much two people can talk to each other, how much common topics they are interested in, this is what creates a strong relation.

Why would you try to impress him? Just be yourself. Sounds like you have self-esteem issues. (You may not see yourself as preety [sic], but others probably do.)
I'd just strike up a conversation with him and see how it goes. Are you in school? Ask him about the homework.

Real answer: you should not set out to "impress" a guy. Just take an interest in him. People LOVE talking about themselves, and failing that most people like to show off how knowledgeable they are, so ask him something. Just get him talking and take it from there. Prettiness may provide the original lure for someone, but you need more for a longer-term relationship that lasts.
Oh, and be yourself. If he doesn't like/love you for who you are, he ain't worth it! :)

wear some really nice perfum like dream angels by victoria secrets, put ur hair up in an adorable ponytail with some lip gloss sweetie and have a sexy sparlky little black thong just peek over the top of your pants with a top that doesnt cover it. Now im not talkin trashy- im talking like accidental oops my thong is showing just a littl bit. LOL- there are so many ways- guys are so gullable and visual

Yeah...being a young guy myself I can tell you that its best for you to just be yourself. You don't need to try to "doll" yourself up for us. Just be you. If he truly likes you thats what he will like. Also, guys like it when girls start conversations(or at least I do). So try that. Hope I was helpful.

from personal experience, just be yourself!!! my understading is that guys fall for girls who are themselves and not someone fake. And if he still doesn't notice you, he's NOT worth it!.....Good Luck!...:)
