If the ear is not inflammed you can use a mixture of rubbing alcohol and vinegar 1:1 for basic cleaning. I don't recommend this if you think you may have any type of ear infection. I would not recommend hydrogen peroxide because it tends to leave water in the canal

Moisten a piece of cotton with apple cider vinegar and water (equal parts). Wipe out the ears. Apple cider vinegar controls unfriendly bacteria or yeast (common culprits for causing ear infections). Remember to treat the ears outside. Otherwise your dog will shake any liquid out of his ears all over your belongings!

I worked at a grooming salon and we used an ear cleaning liquid that made especially for dog ears and worked really well. I don't know what it was called, but most grooming salons can special order a bottle if they don't have it in the shop. They weren't extremely pricey, somthing like $8-12 for a bottle that would last you a couple years. I'd recommend checking a few grooming places and just asking if they could get some for you.

Hydrogen Peroxide works well. But like all home-made things--it should not be used in access. This is a good temporary solution until you can get more.
