It completely depends on what you're looking for in terms of size, location, price etc. It's just stupid to say you should live in one area or another without knowing what you're looking for. If you're working in Scarborough you likely don't want to live in mississauga or etobicoke (spelled correctly I might add) and so on. If you can be more specific in your question a more precise recommendation can be made. Good luck.

Your best bet is the suburb next to Mississauga , which is Etobecoke. There are apartments usually for rent on the border of Etobecoke and Mississauga on Mill Rd.
Good luck.

There are plenty of accommodations available but they are quite pricey. Although I live about 3 hours from Toronto we do go there lots for concerts and visiting family I would suggest that you look long and hard for a good neighbouhood and certainly not move into the Jane/Finch area as it is an area that is dominated by gangs and lots of police presence and always some kind of sirens going by. Best of luck and enjoy your stay in our fine country.

Rent is very expensive in that area. Consider living in St.Catherines or Niagara Falls and commuting.
