Since you both share going to school together, start with "school related" hanging out, "study partner" if you would.
Everything goes well with your "studying," you can begin to try and "study" other aspects of your relationship.
This is just my preference, and yours may be totally different, so proceed with what you are comfortable with, and make the best decision for yourself, and most of all, live life to the fullest!

just ask him if he wants to do something after school or on the weekend like grabbing a bite to eat or catching as movie. Just ask.

just ask him if he wants to come over and study for midterms you must be in the same class if you dont have midterms ask him to have lunch or dinner or pizza. pizza is always innocent
