As the others say deep breathing is a very good and simple method of relaxing ones mind and body. Breath in as deep as you can through your nose and exhale through your mouth slowly. If you need to relax even more couple these breathing with deep thought. Think of your favorite and most relaxing place to be... Think of the sights the sounds the smells...are there any people there? so on and so forth... This greatly enhances the likely hood to relax.

Yoga Breathing works for me. Slowly count to 4 as you in hale. Hold for a count of 2, and exhale as you slowly count to 4. Hold for 2 and then repeat up to ten times. I'm not sure weather the extra air helps or the concentrating on the counting distracts you from what was upsetting you, but it works every time for me.

You breath a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth about 10 times. This really relaxes me, even during the scariest times.

Deep breathing th wrong way can leave you hyperventilated. So, the proper way to do it is to slowly breathe in deeply for a count of 3, then slowly exhale deeply for a count of 6. Push the air out of the diaphragm.

This works great for me in relaxing to go to sleep. Start breathing thru Ur nose deep breaths and U will slow down as this works. Start at you feet, thinking of them being in warm water, (lake, ocean) & relax every muscle in Ur body. From feet to legs, to hip, to torso, to shoulders, arms, hands, now your neck, jaws, now Ur head. By now Ur breathing has slowed down 2 a steady slow rate. Picture in Ur mind the most peaceful place U can & a calming color. Now in Ur mind go there. No other thoughts enter in to Ur mind. Soon U will B asleep. As far as Breathing 2 just relax start with deep breathd though your nose & out Ur mouth. Slow this pattern down as U relax. I hope this helps U.

in normal breathing,we uses the upper chest,to improve our health and to relax you have to try to use abdominal breathing, that is the part about four fingers spacing from the navel below, the difference between the abdominal and the chest breathing is that, with the abdominal method, the diaphragm is being pushed up by another 2 cm and with the extra lift it can massage the internal organs in our body, especially the liver, with the liver well massaged,it get healthy and able to get rid of toxin more effectively,go ahead and try this method,it is healthy with no side effect.Best of health to you and all.
