Yes. This was part of my course in college....
Alcohol is absorbed into the stomache lining, as well as the small intestines. If you have an empty stomache, the alcohol is absorbed by your body faster. Things like bread and even water can slow down alcohol absorption...they suck in the alcohol before it gets to the lining of the stomache. At that point, whatever alcohol has been absorbed by the food in the stomache must be digested with the food...thus slowing the effect.

yes and by also mixing your drinks if you are drinking beer stick to that the whole night dont rotate between whiskey,vodka and especially milk drinks.another way to lessen the chances of getting drunk is visit the bathroom u need to "pee".this advice is coming from a trini!

also if at the end of party u feel sick or upset u need to forcr your self to vomit otherwise u will feel worse.

yes, thats why people get so wasted at Happy Hour. the drinks are cheap and its between meals so most people are hungry. I love happy hour.
