Ok, so today is my birthday, and I didn't breathe a word of this special day to anyone. I know people who go around and tell every teacher and student that that day is their birthday at least 5 times a person. Since I'm a rather humble person, I told nobody, and I was just wondering, is it rude to not tell anyone OR tell everyone? If that makes any sense, please answer. Nothing rude either.
PS. I had TWO people, whom I NEVER see wish me a happy birthday. So much for friends, eh?

Happy Birthday, dear Daizy....
Happy Birthday to you!
Celebrating a birthday is celebrating the LORD's creation. With my past, I am grateful just to live another year. HE has a plan and a purpose for each of us.
May GOD bless you, dear Daizy. Have a wonderful birthday.

I told people at my work about mine. I did not brag, just said what I did, and that I got some nice presents. I only did this becuse a coworkers birthday was yesterday, and we shared BD stories.
It would be rude to brag, going on and on about the presents, a fancy cake, the large number of guests that attended..
Don't feel bad about the friends, 4 of mine remembered. One showed up, the others sent cards. And two of the ones that sent a card, and were the first to acknowledge the day, is the friends I have not seen the longest time! Go figure.LOL.
And one family member remembered, and sent money in a card, belatedly. I did not expect a cake, most of the friends are chronic dieters, and one that showed up is a diabetic.
I do not think it is rude not to mention your birthday, it is your choice not to. I get tired of those who mention it to get a party, especially at work, where not everyone has the disposable income to fork over $$$ for a piece of cake.
Happy birthday to you! The Answers! people will make sure you got BD wishes, even if your friends didn't!

I would say it is rude to brag. but if you want the attention then you have to tell someone, as no one has passed a mind reading test yet, Birthdays are just the day you are born on, and while that is great, is it really that special. we all need to be acknowledged , but just not on our birthdays, you might keep this in mind as a lesson that you can use with your friends , telling them that they are great , and how happy they make you. shouldn't have to wait for a birthday, . and not as an after thought HAPPY BIRTHDAY

It's not bad to express your delight at your birthday. It comes once a year and everyone has one. If you tell a set people about it it is ok just dont go round telling everyone, also it's nice to recieve a "happy birthday" from friends. Happy Birthday Btw.

Birthday is over-rated. You are right not to brag about it; that shows your maturity. Bragging about your birthday would only make you sound childish. Who cares about another persons' birthday? On any day, millions are born worldwide. What's the big deal about one's birthday!
More persons born, the crowdier the planet!

This world needs more humble people like you.
Bragging about anything is rude, and most people couldn't give a **** that its your birthday anyway.
