Some of the top contenders -

Street Sense - Breeders Cup Juvenile winner and likely 2yo champion won the BC at Churchill by the largest margin in the race's history.

Nobiz Like Shobiz - 3-2-1-0 record with a win in the Remsen S. (in stakes record time) and a runner up effort in the Champagne, this guy is bred to go long and trained by Funny Cide's trainer Barclay Tagg.

Tiz Wonderful - Undefeated in three starts, this colt has won two stakes at Churchill Downs. Connections deliberately skipped the big 2yo stakes in order to give him a foundation for the Classics.

Stormello - 7-3-0-2 this guy is the best of a mixed group on the West Coast. Won the Hollywood Futurity last out over the Cushion Track.

Hard Spun - Being compared to Smarty Jones after his win in the Pennsylvania Nursery Stakes. An undefeated son of Danzig from high-profile connections this guy looks good but hasn't been running nearly as fast as Smarty did in his 2yo year.

Day Pass - Owned by Godolphin Stables, this guy is taking the Dubai route to the Derby. Winner of his only two US starts (including one stakes) in very impressive fashion he may be this year's Discreet Cat.

It's awfully early for that, I think. Street Sense would probably be the favorite today off the Breeders Cup Juvenile win, but there are others. Stormello has had a couple of impressive victories, for example. But the races that will tell us the most haven't been run yet. The Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn, the Florida Derby at Gulfstream (Barbaro's biggest victory prior to KY), the Wood at Aqueduct, the Santa Anita Derby, the Bluegrass at Keeneland--I'm going to pour over those race results before I make my final bets.

Hard Spun who runs this Saturday at Fair Grounds, is undefeated in 2 starts at Delaware park. He is trained by Larry Jones, and I'm sorry I am not familiar with him. He is out of Danzig (a proven classic distance runner, albeit on the turf) and his grand sire is Northern Dancer winner of the 1964 Derby.

My personal favorite though is Nobiz Like Showbiz. He is out of Albert The Great (proven classic distance runner), he has the advantage of running at better tracks (Saratoga and Belmont). He is slated to debut soon at Gulfstream. He is trained by Barclay Tagg who also has the experience of what it takes to get to the Derby (Funny Cide, Showing Up).

Lawrence The Roman also deserves a hard look. He is out of Point Given, trained by Dick Dutrow and is 3/3 at the better tracks. Point Given won 2 of 3 legs of the Triple crown plus The Travers.

Tueflesburg is also running this Saturday at Fair Grounds. He is out of Johannesburg who was touted as a major contender for The Derby. He is trained by Jaimie Sheridan (I think, she's only been training for 2 years... but so far so good!)

Vanquisher deserves a long look also. He just won his first race of the year at Gulfstream. He is out of Gulch (sire of Thunder Gulch) and is trained by Bill Mott. He went off at long odds and made it look like a paid work out. Also his owner is Kinsman Stables (George Stienbrenner, NY Yankee's)

I have a long list, but these are at the top. Hope this helps...LOL!

Keep your eye on these two:

Storm Cat - he's undefeated and a strong runner

Dreaming of Anna - a filly, thus a big longshot, but she's already beaten the boys once in a Grade III at Woodbine (albeit on turf)

Don't forget, thus far, no winner of the BC Juvenile has won the Kentucky Derby.
