the bible says not everybody that says Lord Lord will be saved. i think you have to work to make heaven your home. the bible is our map to heaven, there are things in there that we have to live by to make it to heaven. if we didnt have to live by them then why did Jesus have somebody write it for us. everybody takes a scripture and makes it want you wanna make it and you cant do that. you have to take it for what it is. its says in Rev. that we r gonna be judged from that book so i wanna make sure ive done everything in it.

My point exactly " The bible says not everybody that says Lord Lord will be saved"

Who came up with the mumbo jumbo that leads to being saved by the body of Jesus, instead of the message of Jesus.

Paul, St Paul, in all his personal letters, comletely re-defined Christianity in order to convince the Gentiles to join his (Paul's) church empire.

He did away with circumcision (which the Gentiles were not willing to do).He did away with the 10 commandments (which Jesus honored), he did away with (forgive others) which Jesus Preached as a method of entering the Kingdom of Heaven both here on Earth and after your stay here on Earth.

Specifically, Jesus taught, "Forgive others for their mistakes. If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you."

Tough test, eh? But well worth it, considering the reward of Heaven, both on Earth and then eternally.

Why don't Bubba preachers ever ever preach a sermon on Jesus' message that we must forgive others, no matter what?

Answer: They would lose their congregation, which is probably filled with people who are holding grudges against "certain people".

Narrow is the path to Heaven". Why? Cause very few people can forgive others (on a regular basis).

Paul and Bubba preachers preach the opposite; It's easy to be saved (Wide is the Path), just accept Jesus' blood on the cross as the sacrifice for all your mistakes: past, present, and future.

Jesus spent his entire life (career) bringing us his message from God; He always said listen to my words, he never said look at me, look at my body it is your ticket to Heaven.

To build their empires, Bubba preachers tell us to go Heaven "Have faith that Jesus' body is your ticket to Heaven".

What kind of place would Heaven be with people screaming "Lord, Lord (Jesus is my savior) and then holding grudges against their neighbors in Heaven?

Heaven is a place of (and for) Harmony-loving people. If you don't forgive others, you are not a harmony-loving person. - It's as simple as that.

I agree with you my brother. However, sometimes it's not easy walking that road to heaven the devil is always standing somewhere to trample one down and stop one from walking in Gods way and I'm walking in Gods road right now and I feel very depressed and things aren't that easy and he said that those who endure til the end will be saved.

I think that if you are saved you want to do the thing Jesus had the disciples record and teach. The holy spirit that enters you the moment you are saved moves you to do good. We are still human and imperfect and we may make mistakes, but if it's something the Lord wants us to work on, he will move us to do so.

I agree to a point. Everyone makes mistakes and no one follows the bible to the letter. If we are saved we try. We agonize over God's Word. We pray, we sincerely want to follow His Word and make Him proud. At least I do. God knows our hearts. And although none of us is perfect, He judges our heart also.

We are saved by grace and not by works. Some think that if they live by Christ's teachings and do His works then they will be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. But salvation is a gift from God, by receiving Christ as the Son of God as your Savior. It is by grace and through grace that each person is saved. After we are initially saved we then " work out our salvation" by growing and walking in obedience to His word, living in Christ and bearing the fruits of our relationship with Him.

I believe you are correct! I believe it is after we have done all we can in this life...that the Savior will make up the difference of what we lack. I believe there are certain covenants and ordinances one must perform to be exalted in the highest of our Heavenly Father's kingdoms - the Celestial.
I believe we will be judged on our thoughts, words, deeds and actions. Not just whethere or not we "believe" in Christ.

You are totally right. But it also says ask for his forgivness and you shall recieve it, that he hasnt lost 1 who wasnt meant to be lost, all you have to do is be faithful to his word & believe. I was told I couldnt have kids. I started reading the bible and read where it said "ask and believe and you shall recieve" I asked for the gift of a child...2 weeks later i was pregnant. God says we are all his children and if our children misbehave do we not forgive them> Then how many times over shall our father too forgive us.

True, we will not go to heaven just because we "believe". However, I think that if you truly believe, your will be righteous. Remember - we are judged by works, and THEN saved by grace if our works have been worthy in the eyes of God. If we truly believe, we will have righteous works. You are right though - we will not go to heaven just because we "believe."

Amen, I agree. There are many people sitting in churches today who will be turned away when the judgment comes.

Our preacher says that sitting in church doesn't make you a Christian any more than sitting in an apple tree makes you an apple.

I think it is a good analogy.
