I don't understand your question? Do you mean competitive pressure on Jesus in the way people would fight to be next to Him or with Him?

If that is the direction your question is leading, the whole message Jesus taught was to love, love your enemies, llove your neighbors, if someone is in need give them all you have, forgive a person 7 times 70, etc.

Jesus had hundreds and sometimes thousands came to hear Him speak.

Reading the answer of another, did you mean competitive pressure to be like HIm? They knew they couldn't, when people heard Him speak, they knew He was different. Jesus could not be imitated, much less do the miracles He was doing.
