No speedometer reading on GMC Sierra 1500 4wd. Do you have troubleshooting tips. Replaced vehicle speed sensors = no change. Thanks

Make sure it was the right sensor you replaced.They are 3 speed sensor on that trans Input output and drive.The one your after is off the tail shaft.They were also having trouble with the head units.It could be your going to have to it go to the dealer. See if you can found the tech bulletins for your truck as I recall one for speedos dropping out on your truck .The repair was to replace the head unit and reprogram it.Been off work for 6 month so not positive on it .Good luck hope I helped

don't know if this helps...but the 1500 doesn't come with an Allison transmission...only the Duramax diesel and 8.1 liter big block v8 engines come with that transmission. you most likely have a 4L60E.
