Because they've been spoon fed a bunch of garbage by the mainstream media, and they've been lied to by jerks like you.

Here's one for you, erudite:

Why are 100% of the folks on Yahoo! Answers offended by your "questions"?

There is one thing you need to realize....You can't believe everything that is told from you from the news media. I'll give you an example.....did you get a call about this poll? Is there anyone you know got a call or letter about this poll? If your answer is no...then how did they get a percentage that high? Could it be that they're "making it up"? Taking a poll by region is also not accurate, as it doesn't accurately measure all of America's opinion. I would have never realized most of the lies that come from the media, had I not seen it myself. Best of luck to you.

Because 70% of Americans realize that the powers that be in the Republican Party are not fighting for democracy in Iraq. The goal is turn it into a christian country, and convince them they need to funnel their oil resources to us in order to keep us as their protector, and become avid viewers of the 700 club and Fox news.

Because we are short sighted and don`t understand what a defeat means to us. We have an uninformed public.
Liberals don`t send their kids to fight and don`t even know a soldier. Only Conservatives do because they actually understand what is at stake.
Because the Liberal press is trying to elect Democrats and they dominate the media. A victorious war is bad for Democrats and good for Republicans.
Because the liberal media only reports about the deaths and never about the constant victories and the heroes in this war. Every accomplishment is rewritten as a defeat, failure, or doesn`t matter.
Bin Laden learned the lessons of Vietnam and Mogadishu. The American public was kept in the dark and still hasn`t learned.

Because they are idiots that listen to the likes of rosie o'pukell and kerry.

They don't speak to any troops that have been there...

This should be obvious. To them, more troops means more deaths. They don't know or care if the plan will actually work. 70% of Americans aren't qualified to have an opinion on the military.

Because they are listening to the news media instead of people who can give them accurate information.

When they only ask liberals then you will get an answer like that. Those numbers are wrong. IT is more like 37% as per the Gallop poll.

because the troop increase is a waste of money, resources, and lives. Also, it is time for the Iraqis to take care of their own security.
