Using Windows Xp
Go to your control panel
Then Click on Performance and maintiance
once inside this folder click System
This will bring up your system's Properties
Click the tab marked Advanced
This will brind up your settings for
(1) Performance
(2) User Profiles
(3) Startup and Recovery

Click the the settings button next to Startup and Recovery
This will bring up another dialog

On the Top it will say System Startup under that it will say
Default Operating System
Then below that it will have a little spot that says either
Window Xp with some other stuff after it
or it will say windows 2000

make sure that windows Xp is selected
Then below that
It shows the check box for how long the list of operating systems is shown it should say 30 seconds right now simply change that to 1 second and you are finished just click ok at the bottom and exit out of all the other windows restart your computer
and it should boot windows XP automatically

Hope this helps

Well if you bought the full version of Windows XP you can uninstall 2000 via the install disk look for an option called clean install. If you bought the upgrade, it's best to leave 2000 on there just in case XP malfunctions. God Bless.

Assuming that Windows XP and WIndows 2000 are installed on different hard drives (or partitions of a drve), simple format the drive/partition on which Windows 2000 is located.

You can also go to your 'control panel', click on 'add or remove programs,' and it'll uninstall.
