I tried it when I moved to a new city after landing my first job out of college. It's tough to meet people when you don't know anyone except the people you work with. I had good and bad experiences with it. I met some psycho chicks and I met some cool ladies. Also, there were suprisingly a lot of women on there who just wanted to have one night stands. I never found love online, but I did meet a lot of cool women and had a good time with it.

I have met someone on line. I didn't go to a pay site, just a free one on a friend's reccomendation because she thought I needed some lovin.
Talked to a lot of @$$holes at first, and met up with a few people casually, only to have to beat them off with a stck later when they couldn't get the clue that I wasb't interested.
Finally, though, I started talking to someone who seemed sincere,. We had a lot in common, and always tons to talk about. We finally decided to get together for coffee, and started hanging out more often from there. Now, we're dating and quite happy about it.
I wouldn't say that internet dating is for everyone, and you have to keep an eye out for the psychos, but it can work out.

I really wanted to meet someone, and since I don't belong to a church or other clubs, and I didn't want to meet anyone in bars or whatever, I decided to give it a try. I tried Match.com and had a few mediocre dates. I joined eHarmony, and within a month, I met the man who is my dream come true. I doubt everyone has these results, but I can't say enough good things about eHarmony. I never would have meet him otherwise!

I don't know about others but I think that it's pretty cool to meet someone online... Like me I am a really shy person. But when I get online it's like my inner self just comes out and I feel a whole lot more confident in talking to the person on the computer... I don't know it might be weird but I like it. That's my opinion anyways

actually yes more than once. I just dont have the time to go out there and find someone my scheule doenst allow it. I can not tell you how many men I have been swamped by lol. I feel like a goddess:)

I always forget the password, am put off by the fakeness, and don't want to pay for it.
If you meet somebody you like and it works, then its great.
I know somebody who met his wife in the personals, I think they are still together 20 years later.

Great concept....met my guy on Match.com 4yrs ago and we got married in 2006...just need to use common sense... screen people carefully and initially meet in a public place...
