The mig would be gone before it even knew there was another plane within reach. The f-22 has so many computers on board that detect and lock on to enemy aircraft, the pilot pretty much just has to push a button to destroy a plane he can't even see. The mig-29 is lacking quite a bit in technology to even be compared.

F-22 hands down. The mig 29 is nearly 30 years old, and doesn't have the flight characteristics needed to cruise with the Raptor, much less dogfight agains't one (let's discount long range missle attacks, although the Raptor still has the edge). I've seen video of the raptor in flight, and that thing flies in a manner that God never intended. Now, if you want to put the F-22 up against the Su-37 Scorpion, now you have a match, and that one would definitely come down to the pilot's nerve and skill.

the mig has a 'look down/shoot down' capability; the missles can lock onto where the pilot is looking at as long as the mig is in a firing envelope for the missle. our current planes, to get a lock with a sidewinder, the seeker head in the missle has to get target lock, usually after the plane can get behind the target long enough for target lock. the fulcrum can do this without having to be behind the bogey. had a report on the mig awhile back on the military channel.
if the mig driver is good, the raptor will have a little bit of trouble, but a raptor driver that knows his bird inside and out will make hamburger outta the mig.

Mig29.U.S.A. hasnt had the better planes for quite a few years now.
the SU27-----su37 is even better again.
Its unnatural what that plane can do.Fly in a different direction than its facing, turn its nose 360,fly super slow.
unbelievable.
not the best video i've seen but can any other plane do this stuff?

The MIG-29 has lost 100% of its engagements against the previous generation of US aircraft. What do you think is going to happen when it goes up against an aircraft it cannot even detect?

Provided both pilots are of the same level and both circumstances were the same, I believe the Raptor would shoot down the Fulcrum.
Remember this: American warplanes are usually far superior to Russian ones regarding armament and technology, but as a bird, the Russian warplane usually wins!

The Raptor: the MIG wouldn't see the Raptor on radar until it was too late.

"Syrian piloted MIG and Israeli flown US Raptor in air battle, Syria came in second; however, the Zionist Israelis came in next to last."
