Painting a key, help?

How would you paint a key, or a door key. what kind of paint? have any of you done this before?

boat paint or automotive paints....it weathers well and stay's on and you have a larger canvas of colors to choose from than spay enamel.

I painted a collage of keys using acrylic paint and sealer. I really enjoyed it, the paint goes on smooth. It is a very fun medium to use.

Enamel dries hard and is fairly sturdy. However, nail polish also works!
