You open your mouth and say: "I don't want to ruin our friendship, I don't like you as a relationship, I want your friendship."

There's never an easy way ... all you can do is tell him the truth ... I've had a few really close guy friends of mine "confess" their love to me ... and after I told them they're just a friend - they up and disappeared ... true friends huh ... try not to lead him on or flirt with him ... he'll take it as you being attracted to him ... that was a hard one for me since I'm a total flirt and sometimes a little touchy feely ... be nice about it ... but firm and to the point ... if he's like any of the guys I've hung out with ... he'll hang around until the day you change your mind and sleep with him ... or he'll meet another girl and move on ... unless he's a jerk like my friends and no longer wanted to hang out - because it hurt them not to be with me that way ... they couldn't handle being just my friend ... good luck with whatever happens ... !

Simply tell him that he's a good guy and you two have a lot of fun together, but you're not attracted to him the way he is to you. Definitely don't lead him on and eventually (hopefully) he'll get over his "thing" and you can get back to being really good friends- no weirdness involved. Good luck!

Just say, "Sorry, but...I can't go out with you. I mean, I love you, but more like a brother, not in a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship." My friend said that to one of her guy friends when he asked her out, and now he's moved on and they're friends again.

Just be honest with him and tell him how much his friendship means to you but there can't never be anything else.
Also you can comment to him that you like a guy and he will probably get the hint.
Good luck!

Why say no ?
Tell him yes...
If you Must say no, then tell him you just want to be friends..
That should drive him away...
