Do anyone know of some good fieldtrips to take high school students that will relate to the work field? The school is based in Los Angeles, California. We already went to the Los Angeles Times building.

Im not a student, but if I were and I were in LA --I think anywhere exciting--the Hospitals, for medical jobs,
The Airport for airline reservations and airport services--I went to the International Air Academy, and this is so awesome to be behind the scenes...
Maybe even the City Gov't and Offices-.
Police Station and ask for a walk to the Jail. (talk about law enforcement
End it with a Restaurant tour and eat at a restaurant. make them
take note about how they treat the restaurant workers and do an evaluation for the restaurant(most often local restaurants want mystery shoppers- think of this as one big evaluation.

In actuality though- I would rather go to Hollywood and go behind the scenes or get tickets to go on Dr Phil-LOL ask him if he could have a disparity of different fields represented.
that would be the ultimate- and then go to disneyland and ask about jobs there...
H A V E FUN WITH THIS TOPIC AND MAKE THE BEST OF IT!
I know this is ridiculous- but one of my wishes-

I'd try to arrange for a behind the scenes tour of one of the studios, since a lot of people in southern California end up working behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. You could even see if you could get a student rate for the Warner Brothers tour they give to tourists. You could also arrange a factory tour at any of the hundreds of plants near east L.A. or down by LAX. A lot of southern Californians also work in health care. You might tour a hospital or a long-term care facility. Another idea is to contact MTA and see if you could tour their maintenance facilities or the subway operations center.
