It depends on how much you are eating. If you want to lose 60 pounds by June, you are looking at a 3 pound a week loss (for early June). That is quite high! 1 to 2 pounds is what is recommended for sustained weight loss. That would mean creating a 1,500 calorie deficit PER DAY. If you cut your calorie intake by 500 calories, you would have to burn 1,000 calories per day. If you are 190 pounds (assuming you have 60 pounds to lose), then that would mean walking at a brisk pace (4mph) for almost 3 hours per day. Just walking alone without changing your diet (assuming you are maintaining your current weight and not gaining) would mean that you need to walk for 4 1/2 hours daily.

It's great that you are looking at exercise as a way to lose weight, and not a magic pill. There are a number of little things you can do to help dietwise - I've found a plan that makes sense for me at sparkpeople.com. I hope you are not discouraged by the HOURS listed above - but in combination with a good diet, you can see fantastic results and still keep some free time. Good luck!

To lose more than 10 pounds a month is a bit over reaching your goals.

I have been training since September and i lost 25 pounds. And that is with training 4 times a week with a trainer.

Do not just train for 6 months and stop.

You have to change your lifestyle and keep that in your life.

Eat better move more.

Low carb diet with lots of proteins, fruits and vegetable.

Train 4 times a week. Meet with a trainer. They will give you a training progran to help you reach your goal.

At least 45 Minutes every day. Diet is also important. Don't eat too much sugar.
