I voted beauty, I have a good degree 2:1 and am doing post grad study, but i can honestly say that being good looking has by FAR brought me more social advantages.
im quite girly and blonde lol, so people assume im stupid anyhow, as Aristotle once said beauty is a great letter of introduction.

in short id swop a few iq points for more beauty in a hearbeat.

Oh FYI I am not stuck up. I am intelligent and educated, thus capable of intellectual conversation at dinner parties, where my dear, I would outshine you in both intellect, wit, wisdom, charm, and beauty. your posts reeks of bitterness which is always a very unattractive triat..

id much rather be beautifull! you can get just as far if you are very attractive. (unless you want to be a brain surgeon, then brains are probably the best option!) in a man i always go for looks.... and a big wallet!

Intelligence any day. Beauty don't pay the bills unless your a model. Plus as you get older good intelligent conversation will always win through over being a dumb blonde and looks don't last forever !!!!

I have always said that Intelligence & brains are wasted unless you have the common sense to use them and everyday I am proved right. As for looks?
Well one mans' cup of tea is another mans' posion.
I wouldn't consider myself above average in either department but I know how to have fun and I have my fair share of dates, men wanting to get to know me as well as as my fair share of let downs for those I like.
Aristotle may have said what he said but I bet he wouldn't dear chat to a girl who was standing in the corner, pouting her lips looking like somebody had passed they smelly finger under her nose - Regardless of how pretty she is!
As a "Tomboy" female (who has her fair share of compliments and knockbacks & yes I am over 21!) I say "work your thing and enjoy" everything else is unimportant. Regardless of the attraction thing if you come across as a fun lover you will attract real genuine chaps who see more than all that Maybelline :)

I'm female and quite beautiful and intelligent. When I was younger I thought beauty was everything. It can certainly open doors for you. However, beauty does tend to fade as one gets older. When you look behind the facade, what is left? Give me intelligence every time.

If it's a choice between being intelligent and ugly, or beautiful and dumb, then I'd go for beautiful and dumb every time.
Being intelligence doesn't make you happy or endearing to people, in fact it's quite the opposite.

answered by nigels huni (his missus) id rather be intellegent as beauty is in the eye of the beholder and intellegence is inside beauty and that will still be with me when im 75, if you choose sheer beauty what happens as you start to age??? Esp if you havent found Mr Rite and settled down, whos to say that although u mite be beautiful now not everyone grows old gracefully, u might be the reverse story of the Ugly Duckling, on the other hand i chose intellegence so whats to say that as I grow older I become physically more beautiful to the partner that i met when i was 25 knew he loved me for me not because i looked good on his arm, settled down wif , got married to, had kids with and will see out the end of my days out with him, with only my intellegence when he met me. Beauty might get you everywhere/shags/attention/fame/fortune but beauty alone in the physical sense wont last 4ever, whereas my bloke fell for my intellegence and surely that only gets wider and more informed and fuller as i go thru and experience life gathering every bit of info that life definatley throws at u. Seems to me that intellegence never stops growin only get more beautiful whereas yr beauty only seems to decline with the normal ageing process!!!! ok put it this way yr doing a post grad yeah? so lets say there is you and 10 others including me around a table having a informative discussion, wld the only time you could join in was if beauty was the topic?? im the intellegent one whos chatting and debating with everybody else!!! As to yr last comment about swapping IQ points for beauty, who wants a thick,stupid embarrasing girlfriend no matter how pretty she is bcoz you cldnt take her anywhere as she wld have nothing to add to a decent conversation only how pretty she is!! Dont you think that wld make u seem very vain and self centred (ie i am so beautyful you shld all just be grateful that i wld want to assosciate with the average looking intellgent ones. If I was a man I wldnt be taking you to meet my friends and parents as most normal people dont like stuck up snotty nosed beauty queens. Also how many genuine relationships wld you have???? Not many!!! Do you ever think that the only reason you have supposedly got 'so far' in yr life is down to the fact that you are only a trophy, well I know 4 a fact the trophy when one is on the top shelf of the display cabinet for all to see, but there will always be another trophy waiting to be won (that is better than you) and wot a pity yr no longer shiny n new yr tarnished, old and have been chucked in a box n left in the attic to b 4gotten about!!! And all those people you looked down yr nose at 4 their averageness and intellegence are know knowing exactly where all that beauty got you and do you no what they all feel brilliant actually they on top of the world!!! A note from my boyf-- he said if your that beautiful n stunning why havent you put a picture of yrself on the picture profile!! Good looks will take you a long way in life. Life is EASY if you are good looking and this applies to males and females. If you have both, its almost impossible to fail at life.
