how can i get my ex boyfiend back?

we went out last year and we still liked me after the break up b/c my friend broke us up anyways how do i get him back and make sure that this doesnt happen again

do you mean your friend hooked up with your ex? if he did hook up with your friend i would not be trying to get back with him if i was you because even if your friend threw herself at him he still had the choice of pushing her off. what would happen if a guy threw himself at you?
anyways if thats not the case or if you want to give him a second chance than i dont see the problem with getting him back. you say yourself that he still liked you after the break-up and im sure if you let him know how you feel then he would be happy to get back with you.
im not sure how to make sure it doesnt happen again because you didnt say what "it" was. but building up good trust and communication in the relationship will help you with most relationship problems and strenghten your relationship too.
