There are many species of swans. The Black Swan is from Australia. The most common white swan is the Mute Swan, which is found in Europe. They are also are found in the Eastern United States, where the population has been established from escaped birds. There are two other species of white swans in the United States, which are native, Trumpeter and Tundra. There are other species in other parts of the world. There is even a Black-necked Swan, which is found in South America.

Black swans come from Australia where there is a Swan River, Swan Lager etc etc.! Kings Park in Perth, WA has a flock of beautiful black swans. Go see them!
