As another answerer said, somehow Windows thinks the file is open.

Click yes to make a copy then save it to a new name. Close it.

Now, open it, click File, Save as, and save it to the name you wanted. If you are told that another file exists by that name and if you want to overwrite it, click yes. Done. Hopefully.

appears like information are growing corrupt or lacking probably because of a pandemic if this laptop is used on line. the suitable ingredient to do is insert the place of work disc and get it to fix the setting up. accurate click on the icon and get it to 'locate objective'. If it truly is lacking, a reinstall is so as. Do a backup of files you want in the previous attempting this next step!!!!!!!!! you are able to delete the place of work folders and reinstall the appliance.

I assume you've rebooted the machine?

Somehow Word believes the document is open.

I dont recall if word stores thisin the registry.

You might try running "regedit.exe" andsee if the
the word document name shows in teh registry,
and then delete that registry entry.
