I highly recommend Australia for travelling. I'm a 24 year old Canadian who just reutrned from a year there.
Here are the basics you need to know:

Visa: I don't exactly know where you're from, but if you're from a country that's part of the Commonwealth (i.e. Canada, UK etc) you can get a 1 year "working holiday visa" through the Australian government website. It allows you to work/travel anywhere in Australia for up to a year of your arrival date.

Flights: Once again, i don't know where you're from but if you are anywhere in North America the most popular flight to Australia is from LAX, and its a Qantas direct flight.

Jobs: In the major cities, jobs are easy to come by, all you really have to do is check the classifieds.

Living: Again, very easy to come by, just check classifieds. My favorite city was Melbourne. Sydney is also very cool. And anywhere in Surfers Paradise is an awesome party.

Good Luck with everything, i guarantee you'll have to time of your life and meet tons of amazing people.

I'm looking to travel to Australia as well. Right now I'm thinking about taking a Contiki trip from 2 to 4 weeks. They've got a bunch of options and you meet a bunch of people you're age.

Check out www.Contiki.com for more info.

I'm travelling to Australia this year! My friend has recently moved to live out there so I will be staying with him! It is easier if you know someone who lives in Australia so you can stay with them for a while! Its also better to take a friend with you! Good Luck Travelling! x
