There is no hard and fast rule to this answer.
WHAT IS SEX DRIVE? Whether you follow Freud's lead and call it libido, or use less clinical terms such as "sexual desire" or "sexual appetite," sex drive exists in all of us. "Every animal-including the human animal-has a sex drive that's necessary for procreation."
Although men might like to believe that they have a stronger sex drive than women, neither sex can claim superiority. Both men and women have the same three sex hormones-estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Although men have higher levels of testosterone, the hormone that contributes to sex drive, that doesn't mean that their sex drive is innately higher than yours. According to experts in the field, sex drive is not determined by testosterone alone.
Psychological and societal factors can make it seem as if men hold a patent on sex drive. Because an erection is a very obvious sign of sexual excitement, men often feel compelled to react to that signal. And because women usually experience a more subtle sign of sexual excitement, namely vaginal lubrication, and because you generally reach peak levels of excitement more slowly your sex drive can seem more low-key than men's.
Perhaps even more important is the social conditioning that men and women receive. Society has conditioned men to believe that having a high sex drive is a sign of masculinity, so they're apt to seek out sex frequently as proof of their "man-size" libidos. On the other hand, as women, many of you have been taught that having a strong sex drive is unfeminine, so you may inhibit you’re natural desires.
All in all in my 68 yrs of life, men can get turned on 'faster' then a female. But both have equal sex drives.
Another aspect to look at and consider is when a female is in the child bearing yrs, usually in her 30's try and stop her from sex.
Remember no hard and fast rules for everyone.
A man can read the word "hard" and their you go he's ready "who's available" quick. We can be like that sometimes especially when we are younger.
Look you're ok, he's ok... take your time and let life happen. It just seems to you that men have a higher sex drive and women have a lower sex drive. NOT TRUE!
I'm sure you will get many answers from women telling you their is nothing wrong with their "sex drive." And that is true and everyone is different.
Just don't worry about it... trust me it will all work out in the end...end of tale.

Most women I have "known" have very high drives. I don't mind.

I dont think your doing it right if you think that. And maybe its the ages of the "girls" you date. I love sex and it loves me.
