You didn't mention your age which is a factor. If you're still growing, the teeth could begin to crowd and cause a great deal of pain and possibly throw your teeth out of alignment.
I've never heard of a dentist that would not accept partial, monthly payments from uninsured patients who could not afford to pay full fee.
I would call some other local dentists and explain the situation and they can probably work something out. Don't take the word of that one dentist's office as law. They could very easily be wrong.
Also, get a second opinion if you're going to see another dentist anyway. You may as well.

They can become impacted and cause damage and even deterioration to the teeth closest to them. Even if you don't get them pulled they will push their way up regardless and cause your teeth to get misaligned. I'd suggest looking into a clinical study such as Scirex or PPD. They compensate you for having the surgery and trying an investigational drug treatment. Most of the time the drug they are researching is already on the market for pain use and they are trying to get it passed as a post0surgery med. There is a possibility of receiving a placebo (sugar pill) but if after an hour you are still in pain they will give you the currently used post-surgery med. Most studies require than you have both top and bottom wisdom teeth and will only take two out (one of each) for free but you have the option of having them all taking them all out at once and just paying the difference or you can return for a second surgery once you've healed. I know serveral people who have gone this route.
Hope this helps!

You should ask your dentist what will happen. It completely depends on your teeth. If your dentist told you there is not enough room then s/he is probably telling you the truth. If there is not enough room and you let them grow in it will likely cause a lot of pressure. Your wisdom teeth will be pushing to get in and pushing against your other teeth. It could case your other teeth to shift and become crooked. You could always chance it and see if there is enough room. Did your dentist say they will "probably" have to be pulled? Or will definitely have to be pulled?
You could always get a loan (not fun, I know) but sometimes necessary

Unless they're impacted, there's no need to get them out immediately. I've had my wisdom teeth for several years and don't want to remove them yet because the surgery would be a major inconvinience, but I've had 2 different dentists both say that it's okay to keep them for a while longer.
The only problem that might result is that wisdom teeth get more firmly rooted over time and if you wait too long, the surgery can be longer and more difficult.

If you can, try to find a dental school in another area. They have people who are training to be dentist so they don't cost as much. If you let your wisdom teeth keep growing you will be in pain and it will probably lead to your teeth shifting. Have you asked your dentist for a payment plan? Sometimes they have a payment plan that you can go on to help you pay. Good luck!

Just went this morning with the same situation. They will hurt you and your teeth will be come very out of whacked. Try to look online or contact dentists.com for people in your area that will do this for you for cheaper or on a payment plan. Unfort. this is something you just can't skip out on. This will effect your health and appearance. Good luck

It will allow your teeth the become crowded which is painful. The best suggeations is what I did, and that is to call around and somewill will allow you to make payments...depending on your age, you may qualify for "preventive care" in which it will cost you nothing.. Over crowding of my teeth cased them to become brittle and break, now I am paying off close to $7000.00 for veneers..
