I have a Tamron 28-300 zoom on my Canon A2E, and I love it. It covers wide (28mm) all the way to telephoto. (300mm) I also have a Tamron 28-200 zoom. It is on my back up A2E. I like them both, but my favorite is the 28-300. It came out about a year after I bought the 28-200. I have used both for everything from football to weddings, to forensics. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

If you're shooting in low light you'll want a fast lense (big aperture, f2.4-1.4) to keep your shutter speed up. Unfortunately these lenses are usually very expensive especially in the case of zoom lenses.

Your best lense choice though really depends on what focal range you need and your budget.
