I am thinking about taking a day trip to the coast this weekend and was wondering what the weather is like there right now. Weather.com says that although it will be in the mid 50's that it will be sunny and no wind. I would like to be able to enjoy a day on the beach and not be too windy or freezing. What are my chances?

I live in Pacifica and my back yard is the beach (literally) no matter what they say on weather channel its always freezing yeah the sun is out but it is still cold. If you plan to come here wear lots of layers make sure to bring gloves. Sometimes during the day it can get a little hot but weather changes real fast.

It's cold and I think you will be miserable if you stay along time on the beach.
Hop on the ferry and ride into SF. It's a nice, warm view of the bay and you can have a cocktail. You can eat in one of the many restaurants with bay views along pier 39.
Then get a cab and head over to Crissy Field Marshes and Beach in the Precidio.
